Re-interpreting the [Richard Miller] RM12-01 NTPT Tourbillon Extraordinary Sports Hollow-Out Streamlined Watch Richard Mille revisits the legendary RM012 movement, blending innovations in materials with horological architecture. The RM12-01 Tourbillon watch features the RM12-01 Tourbillon watch and is exclusively available in specialty stores in the Americas in a number of different limited editions. The case structure of the new RM12-01 Tourbillon watch follows the three-way principle, combining all cases together. The movement’s lines are inspired by the structural form of the architectural design. The tubular inclined structure provides the best stiffness and torsional stiffness, and has excellent heat and corrosion resistance. The functions of the baseplate are uniquely combined with those of the movement and the bridge to form a technically coherent and visually inseparable whole. The movement is proudly displayed through a perfect combination of sanding, satin finishing, circular finishing and high polish. Its one-piece baseplate is inspired by the racing chassis and enhances stiffness and impact resistance. It is very characteristic that the sharp streamlined curve of the hollowed-out bridge surrounding the barrel, the large wheel and the tourbillon radiates to the end of the hand-wound movement. The RM12-01 Limited Edition case measures approximately 51x42x15mm.
