The original 𝑯𝑬𝑹𝑴𝑬𝒔•『 Stirrrup Competition silk scarf ▪️ navy blue. Although the stirrup has always been used to ensure the stability of the rider’s sitting position, its shape varies according to the era, trend and country. This scarf pattern by Virginie Jamin reflects this phenomenon. The designer was attracted by Emile Hermes’ extensive collection of stirrup, from which several pieces were selected as compositional elements. In the upper left corner of the picture, an eighteenth-century Chinese bronze stirrup with dragon patterns on both sides of the stirrup ring is depicted. In contrast, a nineteenth-century Brazilian stirrup is decorated with five-pointed stars and stylized plant patterns. Material: 100% silk, size: 90x90cm with full set of brick cabinets
